Our most important first task is to clarify what you want to make happen – we are yet to meet a leader whose remit is to maintain the status quo. We listen hard and try to bring into sharp focus our understanding of the issues you face and the outcomes you want to achieve.

  • How did you get to this point? The history is important because it broadens insight and perspective around the issues. It also influences the choices that might be possible for you as you move forward.
  • What do you want to make happen? What exactly do you want to be different and better? What do you want to change and what do you want to stay the same? Once we are crystal clear about the outcome you want we can start thinking about the development paths that leads in that direction.
  • Who will make it happen? Organisations don’t do things – people do. So who can you depend on to bring your vision to life? What does each of the members of your team bring to the venture? What do you need and what will you expect from them? Are they clear what you want? How able and willing are they to do it?

Having listened hard to what’s been said, and equally telling, to what has not been mentioned, we are ready to start planning.
